THE FIRST DICO-MUSEUM WILL BE IN ITALY

Cocoricò stands as one of the world’s most renowned and illustrious nightclubs, a beacon in the history of techno music.

Beneath its iconic pyramid, it has seen virtually everyone, evolving over the years into a haven of rebellion, freedom, and cultural innovation.

To honor this often overlooked and under-celebrated facet, the club will be home to MUDI, Italy’s inaugural Museum-Discotheque. The club’s spaces will be transformed to host an exhibition featuring 29 pieces of contemporary art by Italian artists, with some artworks available for purchase to fund the ongoing renewal of the display.

True to Cocoricò’s ethos, MUDI aims to revolutionize the conventional idea of a “museum,” introducing a novel form of cultural entertainment designed to captivate the youth through the club’s exhilarating atmosphere.

Following last year’s release of the documentary “Cocoricò Tapes” by @francesco_tavella_, which chronicled the club’s golden years and was paired with a vinyl soundtrack, Cocoricò is poised to reclaim its former glory, albeit with a refreshed and more contemporary spirit.

The grand opening is set for this Sunday, May 19, from 6 PM to midnight, and admission is free.
