1. Introduce Yourself to the Casawi Community: What drives you? What's your artistic vision, and what sets you apart from the crowd?

Ciao, I am Alberto. I like to imagine myself as a character from Alagos, a fictional provence which belongs in northern Italy. This place is very much inspired from where I am from, but everything is slightly distorted. The people of Alagos alter their surroundings, turning objects, architectures and even themselves into ordinary Italian traits which we all once knew, but have long forgotten. It’s a place both familiar and elusive. I don’t want to stand out from the crowd, I participate within the story through subtle interventions. if you look closely, you’re invited to play.

2. City Inspirations: How has your city influenced your artistic path? Share how its streets, culture, and energy have molded your work.

Coming from a small northern Italian province, I’ve always felt the need to dissect its meaning—how it has shaped me and others. Alagos is my way of manifesting these abstract thoughts into tangible forms, where provincial life becomes a narrative. By transforming these peripheral experiences into something concrete, I invite others to cherish what is often overlooked—the forgotten, the mundane, the hidden beauty of the everyday.

3. Creative Process: What fuels your creativity? Whether it's a ritual, a muse, or a moment of clarity, we're keen to learn.

In the chaotic harmony of my mind, I try to crystallize effimeral moments before they disappear, capturing them like distorted memories. My creativity is fueled by questions: Has something really changed, or has it always been this way? Was this pharmacy ever open? Has this chair always been out of reach?— I play with perception, distorting reality just enough to create a familiar, unsettling narrative. In Alagos, nothing is certain, and everything is subject to reinterpretation.

4. City Lifestyle and Art: How the places you lived influenced your career and work?

The places I’ve lived are fundamental to my identity. Alagos, as a conceptual home, is built on fragments of these experiences, but it is ever-evolving, growing alongside me. It is both a reflection of the external places I’ve inhabited and an internal journey of self-redefinition.

5. Latest or Upcoming Projects: Give us a glimpse into your current endeavors and what lies ahead on your creative journey.

Currently, I am trying to record and preserve what’s around me, analyzing the pieces as artefacts belonging to Alagos. This is an archaeological project of sorts, digging through layers of the past and reinterpreting them for the present. These images resonate with my inner child, allowing me to imagine a world where limitations are dissolved, and where I can climb higher beyond the boundaries that once confined me.
