Swedish audio company Transparent has partnered with Milan's luxury fashion boutique Antonia to create an immersive sound installation called "Musicautomat" for Milano Design Week.
Located at Antonia's flagship store on Via Cusani 5, the installation draws inspiration from vintage photo booths and allows visitors to experience the difference between analog and digital soundscapes through Transparent's latest turntable and audio systems.
"Design Week presents a unique opportunity to engage with the public, build new connections, and convey heritage through cultural initiatives across Milan" says Massimiliano Nardiello, Antonia's Fashion Director. "The collaboration between Antonia and Transparent offers an exclusive platform to shape a new cultural perspective within our store".
The Stockholm-based audio brand, known for its minimalist yet bold loudspeakers, designed the installation with a specific goal in mind. "The idea is to show the next generation of audiolovers the difference between analog and digital sound", explains Per Brickstad, Creative Director at Transparent.
Visitors can listen to vinyl records specially curated by Antonia through Transparent's audio equipment, rediscovering the authentic qualities of analog audio reproduction.
The "Musicautomat" will be open to the public from April 7th to 13th during Antonia's regular store hours. The installation represents a thoughtful exploration of sound technology that connects past traditions with future innovations.
