In this interview, we delve into the world of ARSSALENDO, who share his inspirations and unique perspectives.

1. Introduce Yourself to the Casawi Community: What drives you? What's your artistic vision, and what sets you apart from the crowd?
Hi CASAWI! I'm Alessandro, and I make music under the name Arssalendo. Making music is my way, not to scream at people's faces: a way to react to life's moments and process instants that ferment within me until they feel the need to come out. I don't know whether to define it as an artistic vision or a gaze that grows and evolves with me. It isn't beginning or an end, rather a journey made of influences and discoveries.
2. City Inspirations: How has your city influenced your artistic path? Share how its streets, culture, and energy have molded your work.
Rome, the city where I live and grew up, deeply influenced my vision on music and writing. It's a complex and at times tiring city, which carries a melancholic and nostalgic decadence, where unexpected encounters and glances are the norm. Its continuous back and forth between noise and silence pushed and pushes me to explore new sounds and stories. Its east side underground scene probably inspired me the most, especially during my adolescence. Its central neighborhoods also provided rich creative material.
3. Creative Process: What fuels your creativity? Whether it's a ritual, a muse, or a moment of clarity, we're keen to learn.
A continuous dialogue between the inner child and the person I've become. Music is my way of processing emotions to better understand myself. It's like therapy. However, I also get inspired by the stories of the people around me. Especially the ones with whom I share bonds that are like reassuring roots and like branches that push me towards new horizons.
4. City Lifestyle and Art: How the places you lived influenced your career and work?
I'm convinced that cities are not just a backdrop, but living organisms that interact with those who inhabit them. Lately, I often find myself thinking about their architecture, their forms, their spaces, and atmospheres. I believe they shape and influence our lives in some way. Rome's chaotic qualities are what fuel the more electronic textures of my music, while the tranquil lakeside offers a sanctuary for introspection, allowing me to reorder my thoughts and enable my lyrics to find their voice.
5. Latest or Upcoming Projects: Give us a glimpse into your current endeavors and what lies ahead on your creative journey.
I still have to process the fact that the album is out into the world, that the umbilical cord has been cut. My vision is to present this as a live experience that transcends traditional electronic music performance, incorporating a captivating light display. The path forward is one of ongoing artistic discovery, particularly in sound and lyric development, but as of today, I don't know which direction it will take.
