The collaboration between Bottega Veneta and Flos transforms the historic Model 600 table lamp, originally conceived by designer Gino Sarfatti in 1966. This special edition reinterprets the lamp's original innovative design through the lens of Bottega Veneta's renowned leather craftsmanship.

Sarfatti's original lamp challenged conventional lighting design with its unconventional structure. The lamp featured a flexible base filled with lead shot pellets, allowing users to position it at various angles with ease. This adaptable design mirrors the fluid aesthetics of mid-century modern design, prioritizing functionality and visual dynamism.

The historical parallels between Bottega Veneta and Sarfatti extend beyond mere coincidence. Both the fashion house and the lamp design emerged in 1966, sharing a moment of creative innovation. The new collaboration draws subtle connections between Bottega Veneta's early leather bag designs—characterized by soft, malleable forms—and Sarfatti's original lamp concept.

For this edition, Bottega Veneta applies its iconic Intrecciato and Intreccio Foulard leather techniques to the lamp's base. The intricate weaving method, a hallmark of the brand's leather goods, transforms the lamp's utilitarian form into a design object that bridges fashion and lighting design.

The lamp maintains its original functional versatility, offering direct and soft lighting depending on its positioning. Available in two sizes, the lamp comes in a carefully curated color palette: black, grey, red, emerald green, and Bottega Veneta's signature green.

This collaboration represents a nuanced exploration of design heritage, merging the technical innovation of mid-century lighting design with contemporary leather craftsmanship.
