Cohabs
International coliving network Cohabs has expanded to Milan with the launch of a 27-bedroom residence in the city's Dateo district.
The company's first Italian location occupies a restored Art Nouveau building from 1907, featuring 700 square meters of living space adorned with a distinctive wisteria façade.
Located at Via Privata Caltanissetta 5, the property combines private bedrooms with shared amenities including a garden, gym, cinema room, and communal kitchen. Twenty of the bedrooms were reserved before doors opened in September 2024.

The renovation maintained original elements like parquet flooring and decorative ceilings while adding modern features such as app-controlled access and advanced security systems. The building achieved an A-class energy efficiency rating through various upgrades.
Monthly rates range from €1,196 to €1,580, covering utilities, weekly cleaning, high-speed internet, and streaming services. Room options include Essential (9-13 sqm with shared bathroom), Classic (10-25 sqm with private bathroom), and Classic+ (11-29 sqm with private bathroom).
Cohabs
Founded in Brussels in 2016, Cohabs now operates over 100 properties across seven cities including Paris, New York, Madrid, London, and Luxembourg. The B Corp certified company emphasizes sustainability through building restoration, energy-efficient appliances, and renewable power systems.
Two additional Milan locations are planned in the Loreto and Bolivar districts. The company aims to manage 5,000 rooms across 11 cities by late 2026, with new openings also scheduled for Washington D.C. and Marseille.
Background: The coliving model combines private bedrooms with shared living spaces, targeting urban professionals seeking furnished accommodation with built-in community aspects. Members have access to common areas and organized activities while maintaining private quarters for rest and work.
