Tampa native Jaylah Hickmon, known as Doechii, has carved her path in rap music with razor-sharp verses and distinctive melodies. Starting on SoundCloud in 2016, she built a dedicated following through raw talent and personal storytelling before reaching mainstream recognition.

Her 2020 track "Yucky Blucky Fruitcake" marked her first viral moment, showcasing introspective lyrics over minimalist production. Doechii's versatility spans from pure rap to pop melodies, incorporating electronic and R&B elements. Her lyrics explore themes of empowerment, vulnerability, and individuality. August 2024 saw the release of her third mixtape "Alligator Beats Never Heal". The lead single "Nissan Altima", accompanied by a Los Angeles-shot video, blends elements of Lil Kim and Missy Elliott's styles. The track has spawned numerous remixes and mashups on SoundCloud, earning heavy rotation across U.S. radio stations.

Her live shows, from Coachella to television appearances, feature detailed choreography and bold costumes.

Her artistry shines on Tyler, the Creator's latest album, where she delivers a standout guest appearance on the track "Balloon".Her masterful vocal technique and magnetic presence helped make the song one of the album's most streamed tracks.
