The breathtaking backdrop of Lake Como, countless hours of intense training and a challenge that goes beyond the football field: the athletes of F.C. Como Women are on a mission to redefine the future of women's sports. Partnering with Mercury/13, the ownership group that recently acquired the team, they are ready to leave their mark in the sports landscape.
In a traditionally male-dominated sports, F.C. Como Women stands out as one of the few exceptions in Italy: it is the only club in Serie A, alongside Napoli, that doesn't have a male counterpart, highlighting its unique position within the football landscape. The club also features a flourishing academy with over 7 teams and 100 registered players, establishing itself as a landmark for female athletes and aspiring players.

F.C. Como Women, founded in 2019, has experienced a remarkable and rapid ascent in Italian football: within just two years, the team earned promotion to Serie B, swiftly advancing to Serie A Femminile — the top-level division of Italian football — for the 2022/23 season. This success has caught the attention of Mercury/13, who acquired the club in March 2024 marking a new chapter of growth and ambition, with the aim of positioning the team as a premium brand.
Another significant step was the team's long-term partnership with Nike, making the brand the first official supplier for an Italian Serie A women's football club. Nike has played an important role in championing women athletes and promoting female empowerment, not only by sponsoring the highly successful 2023 Women’s World Cup but also by constantly enabling female athletes through performance and style innovation - and this vision aligns perfectly with the mission of Como Women.

To celebrate the new partnership and kick off the upcoming season, FC Como has launched the ‘We Belong Here’ campaign, showcasing the team’s 2024/25 home and away kits: the sleek, minimalistic design of the jerseys aligns seamlessly with the club’s renovated image, also place a greater emphasis on the FC Como Women’s logo inspired by Lake Como's rich heritage and paying tribute to the local craftsmanship.

What truly sets F.C. Como Women’s athletes apart is their ability to challenge conventions and express their individuality both on and off the field.
They emphasize authenticity, self-care, and personal expression, breaking stereotypes and portraying women footballers as relatable individuals who share the same goals, dreams, and even flaws as their male counterparts. Ultimately, the stories emerging from F.C. Como Women go beyond football: they represent a broader movement advocating for a more equitable and inclusive sports culture.
