1. Introduce Yourself to the Casawi Community: What drives you? What's your artistic vision, and what sets you apart from the crowd?

Hi Casawi Community! My name is Giulia Petronio and I come from Rome. My name has lots of ancient Roman influences and I’m really proud of that, even if sometimes I feel more like I was born on Venus or Jupiter somehow: my head is on the clouds, floating through the stars but my feet on the ground. I’ve always searched for a true connection with the deeper part of myself wondering what could be my mission on this earth. I like to connect with people and I truly believe this is kind of an art itself. If you let yourself be inspired by everything you see you can find your own kind of beauty everywhere you go and then express yourself through art. My biggest passion is music and it drives me through my path. That’s the reason why I’m working on my music project: my biggest dream is to transform this passion into a job a hundred percent. I’m going to release my first tracks in 2025.

2. City Inspirations: How has your city influenced your artistic path? Share how its streets, culture, and energy have molded your work.

I love traveling cause I’m such a curious person but I think The French Riviera is one of the places that inspired me the most because of its wonderful colors and smells. I’ve been there lots of times since I was young and I’m deeply convinced it’s a magical place. I like French culture because of their romantic, dramatic, chaotic and aesthetic way to tell stories and approach life. I think I’m hopeless romantic and I confess I like to swim in this ocean of black dead roses with still a strong amazing perfume to smell. I’m passionate about life and the possibility we have to experience it fully. Recently I went to Japan and I fell in love with Kyoto, a city full of history, magic and mystery. I felt like I was living in a Miyazaki’s movie! I think Japanese people have an amazing spiritual culture and when you travel there you feel the urgency to discover everyday more about it cause if you do you get overwhelmed by this amazing positive energy! I also love to recharge myself in the nature, if you just let your senses guide you I think they can inspire you so much.

3. Creative Process: What fuels your creativity? Whether it's a ritual, a muse, or a moment of clarity, we're keen to learn.

I think Creativity is a glimpse of the Divine, a sparkle, something you can’t always see clearly. You have to struggle with yourself, always asking how you feel about something or just listening to what it happens and then suddenly it comes knocking at your door and you just have to open! Of course there are many steps, when you get the inspiration you have to work to make it real and concrete. If you write the best book in the world and you keep it in a drawer, it’s not a book but just a notebook. We must overcome the fear of exposing ourselves and take the risk!

4. City Lifestyle and Art: How the places you lived influenced your career and work?

I think that the place where you live influences a lot your personality. When I lived in Rome I had a slow lifestyle, now that I work and live in Milan I feel like I’m always running out of time. I sometimes feel overwhelmed by huge grey skyscrapers. Actually, I like this city cause it’s full of opportunities but I think we should stop feeling always under pressure an try to feed our brain with beauty instead. Working on spirituality can be a good starting point. You are your own priority!

5. Latest or Upcoming Projects: Give us a glimpse into your current endeavors and what lies ahead on your creative journey.

I’m working on my music project in Italy. The genre I’m working on is a dream pop/indie with a little inspiration from French musicality. I’m looking forward to release my first tracks, stay tuned!
