In a leadership change at one of fashion's most prestigious houses, Jonathan Anderson has been appointed as the new creative director for Dior Men, taking the reins from Kim Jones. Bernard Arnault, chairman and CEO of LVMH, revealed the appointment during the company's annual shareholders meeting.

The announcement addresses months of industry speculation following Anderson's departure from Loewe. According to WWD, Arnault confirmed the appointment while answering a shareholder's question about succession plans following Jones' January resignation, which concluded his seven-year tenure with the brand.

What remains unclear is whether Anderson's responsibilities might extend beyond menswear to include oversight of Dior's women's collections, currently led by Maria Grazia Chiuri. Arnault provided no additional details about the scope of Anderson's new role during the meeting.

During the same meeting, Arnault acknowledged several other designers within the LVMH portfolio, including Sarah Burton at Givenchy, Michael Rider at Celine, and the duo of Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCullough, who have taken over at Loewe. Arnault also highlighted Chiuri's recent pre-fall 2025 collection showcased in Kyoto, the work of Nicolas Ghesquière and Pharrell Williams at Louis Vuitton, and Victoire de Castellane's contributions as Dior's longtime fine jewelry designer.

Fashion enthusiasts can expect to see Anderson's debut menswear collection for Dior in June 2025.
