Fashion house Dries Van Noten has named Julian Klausner as its new creative director, marking a strategic internal promotion following founder Dries Van Noten's departure in June 2024.

Klausner, who has been with the Puig-owned label for six years, will officially lead the brand's creative direction. His appointment comes after an extensive collaborative period with Van Noten, during which he co-designed womenswear collections.

A 2016 graduate of La Cambre arts and fashion academy, Klausner's professional journey includes internships at prestigious fashion houses like Thom Browne, Kenzo, and Maison Margiela. He joined Dries Van Noten as a junior designer in 2016, gradually ascending within the organization.

According to Women's Wear Daily, Klausner is set to debut his first womenswear collection on March 5 during Paris Fashion Week. He will subsequently release a Fall/Winter 2025 menswear collection lookbook.

In his statement, Klausner acknowledged the brand's rich heritage, emphasizing his commitment to honoring the foundational vision while exploring new creative directions.

The appointment represents a continuation of the brand's internal talent development strategy, distinguishing itself from the frequent creative director transitions seen in other luxury fashion houses.

This approach signals a measured, thoughtful transition of creative leadership, ensuring continuity and sustained design integrity for the Dries Van Noten brand.
