After leading Dior's menswear division since 2018, Kim Jones has left his position as artistic director. The British designer's departure follows his final collection for Fall 2025, concluding a chapter that transformed the house's approach to men's fashion.
Delphine Arnault, Dior's chairman and CEO, acknowledged Jones' impact in a statement: "I am extremely grateful for the remarkable work done by Kim Jones, his studio, and the ateliers. With all his talent and creativity, he has constantly reinterpreted the house's heritage with genuine freedom of tone and surprising, highly desirable artistic collaborations".
The announcement comes after Jones received the chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur, presented by Vogue editor Anna Wintour. In his parting statement, Jones expressed gratitude to LVMH and his team: "It was a true honour to have been able to create my collections within the House of Dior, a symbol of absolute excellence. I express my deep gratitude to my studio and the ateliers who have accompanied me on this wonderful journey".
Jones' career path included graduating from Central St. Martins and running his namesake label from 2003 to 2008. He then spent seven years at Louis Vuitton, where his Supreme collaboration helped define luxury streetwear. At Dior, he introduced partnerships with artists and designers including KAWS, Shawn Stussy, and Stone Island, while also creating the house's first men's couture collection. From 2020 to 2024, he simultaneously served as artistic director for Fendi's women's collections.
His final Dior collection this month featured subdued colors that departed from his typical bold palette. The presentation took on added significance as speculation about his exit had circulated during Paris Fashion Week. The fashion industry now watches for Jones' next move, though no announcements have been made about his future plans or his successor at Dior.
