London artist Slawn has painted a Lancia Delta Integrale, merging modern street art with one of rallying's most celebrated cars. The project brings together Spot, a London automotive collective, and Lancia specialist Tanc Barratt.
Slawn, whose real name is Olaolu Akeredolu-Ale, completed the car's design in a single session, reinterpreting the classic Martini racing colors through his distinctive artistic lens. The artist has gained recognition in the art world following his recent exhibition at Saatchi Yates Gallery, which sold out completely.
His work on the Delta Integrale follows several high-profile projects, including partnerships with Dr. Martens and Louis Vuitton. He also redesigned the FA Cup trophy, bringing his bold style to one of football's oldest symbols.
"The Delta Integrale carries such weight in racing history. Slawn's interpretation creates a bridge between that heritage and contemporary art", says Cosmo from Tanc Barratt, who prepared the vehicle for the project.
Jimmy Howson established Spot Collective in 2023, focusing on connecting car culture with art. This Delta Integrale represents the group's fourth art car project. "Cars and art share a natural connection. Projects like this help introduce classic automobiles to people who might not otherwise encounter them", Howson says.
Spot offers similar commissions starting at £40,000, working with various artists to create custom automotive pieces.
The finished Delta Integrale joins a small but growing collection of art cars that blend automotive history with contemporary creative expression. For collectors, it presents an opportunity to acquire both a significant rally car and an artwork by an artist whose pieces have seen increasing demand.
