1. Introduce Yourself to the Casawi Community: What drives you? What's your artistic vision, and what sets you apart from the crowd?

My name is Levi Oi and I am a DJ based in Saigon, Vietnam. I love the community around me and my goal is to connect the people and bring them closer to each other with my music and events. Isn't life better when you can share it with others? Another important aspect is the connection with yourself. My artistic vision is just the mirror of how I feel about myself and the way I communicate it to the outside world. We are all unique in our own way, being different is already the best asset that we have.

2. City Inspirations: How has your city influenced your artistic path? Share how its streets, culture, and energy have molded your work.

I grew up in Germany but I have always been very close with Vietnamese culture. We only spoke Vietnamese at home, ate Vietnamese food and when I came to Saigon as a kid for the first time I fell in love - I finally reconnected with my roots. I decided to move here and it has changed my life - to the positive. I started DJing and fulfilled my dream to be an artist in my dream country. The creative community has significantly inspired me and helped me to develop as an artist. Saigon or also called Ho Chi Minh City is one of the most vibrant cities I have ever lived in. It is ever changing and the energy is so contagious! Love it. You have to come and see!

3. Creative Process: What fuels your creativity? Whether it's a ritual, a muse, or a moment of clarity, we're keen to learn.

Spending time alone has always been a good recharging tool for me. When you are always surrounded by people it is really important to check in with yourself. Take yourself on a date. Meditate. Go on that trip. Traveling is great to open your horizons and to get out of your comfort zone. When you come back you will always feel refreshed with new ideas and thoughts. Listening to another language, new sounds and talking to strangers - I love to change up my routine sometimes.

4. City Lifestyle and Art: How the places you lived influenced your career and work?

Living in Berlin for most of my 20s has influenced me so much - especially my music taste. This is the city where I absolutely fell in love with Techno & House music. It just feels like I went to the school of electronic music on the weekends and nothing in the world can change that. Now living in Vietnam, it has not changed, I have developed my music taste and became much more open. It is great to see how the music scene is ever changing and developing and there are so many great artists here. I am proud to live in this country.

5. Latest or Upcoming Projects: Give us a glimpse into your current endeavors and what lies ahead on your creative journey.

I would like to go on this creative journey with open arms and an open heart which means more exciting travel destinations, deep conversations and good music!
