1. Introduce Yourself to the Casawi Community: What drives you? What's your artistic vision, and what sets you apart from the crowd?

Hi miau, I’m Lucia.

I started making clothes by literally sewing them onto my own body. Creating and wearing garments makes me feel safer, more at ease in the world. It all began as a kind of protection almost like therapy. Then I started taking pictures of myself, sharing them on Instagram. Over time, I also developed the moulage technique, not only on my body but also on a mannequin, exploring new shapes and volumes.

One day, a Swiss influencer bought one of my pieces and started creating content with it. That was in May 2022. I had a kind of click: maybe what I was feeling wasn’t just mine. Maybe other people also needed a sort of “shield” to feel better in their own skin.

That’s how Punto Zero was born, my project. I call it costume, armor, second skin. It’s a mutable percentage changing depending on how you wear it, who you are, or who you want to become.

2. City Inspirations: How has your city influenced your artistic path? Share how its streets, culture, and energy have molded your work.

I come from a small town near Genoa, but I never really felt connected to that place. I only started to breathe when I’d reach the port of Genoa, or when I’d wander through the woods and little rivers with a close friend.

What I remember most are the buildings stacked on top of each other, almost holding each other up. The sea, when rough, takes on a pearly, almost metallic sheen. The tall city walls feel like fortress walls ough, weathered, but protective.

Genoa taught me to look at the details, the margins. The town I grew up in, instead, always felt like the Middle-Earth from Lord of the Rings: a place suspended in time, neither light nor dark, just waiting for something to happen.

3. Creative Process: What fuels your creativity? Whether it's a ritual, a muse, or a moment of clarity, we're keen to learn.

Talking with people helps me think beyond myself, beyond the comfort and solitude I often seek.

I really enjoy spending time alone and tuning into myself, but when I open up to others, something new begins to stir. I feel very inspired when I take the tram, when I end up chatting with strangers, or even just watching people from my window how they move, what they wear, how they take up space.

At some point, I always ask myself: “What would I want to wear right now?”

That’s where the creation begins. Then comes the moment of friction with reality I question what I’ve made, to avoid staying locked in my own bubble.

With Percentuale, I often find myself confusing what’s in my head with what’s real. I get lost in my thoughts, but maybe it’s exactly in that limbo between imagined and tangible that my creative process is born.

4. City Lifestyle and Art: How the places you lived influenced your career and work?

I’m currently based in Milan. I travel from time to time for pop-ups, and every time I change location I feel genuinely happy as if each city leaves me with something to hold onto. I try to record those moments in my mind, even just the smallest details.

My lifestyle is very simple. I work a lot almost non-stop and sometimes I don’t even sleep if I’m not satisfied with what I’m doing. Eating well is crucial, as is good company when needed. I don’t need much, just what’s real.

I’m obsessed with fantasy and medieval worlds from Star Wars to Merlin, from The Lord of the Rings to The Big Bang Theory. I love being around people, anywhere: in a square, on the side of a road, or in a radical bar with vegan food. The context doesn’t matter as much as the kind of exchange that takes place.

Sometimes I even enjoy putting myself in situations that make me uncomfortable because that’s where something interesting usually happens.

I love listening to people, exchanging ideas, always keeping an eye on my social battery (which is medium and needs regular recharging). I tend to surround myself with people from different walks of life, with different visions and lifestyles than my own. That diversity keeps me grounded, and discovering new sides of myself helps me grow in what I create.

5. Latest or Upcoming Projects: Give us a glimpse into your current endeavors and what lies ahead on your creative journey.

Recently, I’ve had the chance and also the personal push to bring my work around Europe. I’ve organized and participated in pop-ups in Milan, Paris, London, Brussels, Amsterdam… each time driven by the desire to grow, discover, and above all, to engage with realities different from my own.

What motivates me most is the exchange not just selling, but meeting people, listening, and sharing my story. In Milan, I experimented with a format I’d love to keep developing: an experience that goes beyond a traditional showcase, where performance, installation, and garments blend into something alive.

My goal is to create spaces of genuine connection places where people can pause, even just for a moment, and feel part of something.

A place where clothing isn’t just something you wear, but something you live a little ritual, a fragment of identity that reveals itself.

Almost like we’re all plugged into the same big emotional router.
