In a landmark announcement, Bvlgari has named Mary Katrantzou as its first-ever Creative Director for Leather Goods and Accessories, marking a significant moment in the luxury brand’s storied history.

Mary Katrantzou, a visionary designer with Greek roots, has been a prominent figure in the fashion industry since her debut straight out of Central Saint Martins. Known for her innovative use of digital placement printing, Katrantzou’s designs often draw comparisons to the intricate beauty of Fabergé eggs.
Her relationship with Bvlgari began in 2019, when the Italian jewelry giant lent her exquisite pieces for a fashion show at Athens’ Temple of Poseidon.

This collaboration deepened in 2021 with a capsule collection inspired by Bvlgari’s iconic Serpenti motif.
Katrantzou’s new role at Bvlgari is not just a title; it’s a testament to her exceptional talent and shared values with the brand. Her creative vision will now influence a range of products, from leather day bags to high-jewelry pieces, infusing them with her unique aesthetic that seamlessly blends adornment with functionality.

Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of Bvlgari, expressed his pride in welcoming Katrantzou to the family, highlighting their shared Greek heritage and a mutual passion for excellence in craftsmanship and a love for vibrant colors.

As Katrantzou takes on this new challenge, the fashion world watches with anticipation. Her appointment is not just a new chapter for her but also for Bvlgari, as they continue to push the boundaries of luxury and design.
