Kicking off the MFW on Friday June 14th, Moschino under the creative direction of Adrian Appiolaza, who took over a very delicate situation just a season ago, after the sudden death of Davide Renne; he also has to face the challenge to honour the heritage of two big names of the fashion system, Franco Moschino and Jeremy Scott.

The last collection by Appiolaza was all about slogan pieces promoting love and peace, huge question marks, grocery shopping bags and his “eccentric but real characters”. Appiolaza said he “wants to keep the theatricality he (Franco) was known for but bring it in a more balanced offer.” From Men’s SS25, shall we expect him to keep this promise?

On the same day, a few hours later, it’s time for Dsquared2 show. The latest Fall/Winter collection was an ode to camp, to maximalism, an act of rebellion against the quiet luxury. The collection was a day-n-night role play between Y2K-inspired daywear and sleek evening looks.

Curious to see what’s up next?

Saturday is the day of big names like MSGM, Fendi and Dolce&Gabbana, as well as up-and-coming talents like JordanLuca.

JordanLuca’s FW23 viral (& controversial) pee-stained jeans as well as the overall collection was inspired by the capitalist consumer culture and its contradictions - well confirmed by the fact that the stained denim is sold out online on different platforms.

On Sunday, we’ll see the runways of Simon Craker and Magliano, two very interesting young designers that are shaking up the fashion system with their latest collections, with references to queer community and culture, and the common goal to free our wardrobes from gender stereotypes.

Sunday is also the day of one of the most awaited shows, Prada Men’s runway, following a Fall collection where we saw swimming caps, origami-inspired accessories and dusty pastel colors worn by businessmen; later at 7pm JW Anderson will present Men’s & Women’s resort collection closing the weekend.
