This collaboration between Miller and Beatport is designed to celebrate the diversity of the global electronic music scene and provide a launchpad for the next wave of artists. According to Youth Music, 77% of budding artists lack the necessary industry connections. The Miller Mix initiative is designed to bridge this gap by providing aspiring DJs and producers with the resources they need to advance their careers and a platform to showcase their music.

In the initial phase of the initiative, Miller Mix has been scouting for fresh talent by hosting competitions in several underrepresented music scenes. Competitions have already been held in Hungary, Kazakhstan, and Turkey, with future events planned for Georgia, South Africa, and Australia later this year. Aspiring artists are invited to submit their music online, and six winners will be selected to receive a training course worth €5,000 EUR, along with a prize package of free music equipment and music production software. The career training, which includes social media management and live streaming workshops, will be conducted by the esteemed Beatport Group, led by specialist music technicians and professionals.

As part of the prize package, Miller Mix will host a series of events featuring the winners in their home countries. The line-up will include the winning DJs and producers, as well as a selection of electronic music artists such as Lilly Palmer, Argy, and Gioli & Assia. These events aim to spotlight the emerging talent on a grand scale. Additionally, a six-part documentary will capture this special journey, allowing fans to explore the unique sounds of the participants and the music scenes they represent. The series will kick off in Turkey, with the first episode featuring stories from competition winner YOZE, Istanbul’s Noh Radio, and artists Lilly Palmer and Ferhat Albayrak.

Rebecca Mutty, Miller’s global marketing manager, shared her thoughts on the initiative, stating, "This event series is a celebration of creativity and collaboration, highlighting the future stars of electronic music and creating a space for audiences to experience the best of electronic music in their cities. The Miller Mix World tour brings ‘Miller Time’ to life through inspiring music, encouraging freedom of movement with friends and a Miller in hand. We are collaborating with some of the top talent in the electronic music scene to host iconic events worldwide, while also supporting emerging producers and collectives in the scene, celebrating each city’s unique culture and sounds.”

Ed Hill, SVP of Beatport Media Services, added, “Empowering music producers and DJs worldwide has always been at the core of Beatport. This collaboration with Miller will provide a nurturing environment for talent to thrive, fostering connections and opportunities essential for success in today’s rapidly evolving industry. As champions of the global music community, we understand the importance of platforms that not only celebrate diversity but also serve as launchpads for dreams to take flight.”
