MM6 Maison Margiela x SALOMON
Their latest offering continues this trend by reimagining SALOMON's popular XT-4 trail running shoe as a Mary Jane-style footwear.
The new design maintains the rugged sole and technical features of the original XT-4, while incorporating elements typically associated with the classic Mary Jane silhouette. Instead of the usual quicklace system, the shoe features an open top with a branded velcro strap across the midfoot, reminiscent of traditional Mary Jane closures.
This fusion of outdoor performance and urban style caters to consumers seeking both practicality and a bold fashion statement. The shoe retains the durability and traction necessary for challenging terrain while adding a feminine touch that aligns with current fashion trends.
The collaboration offers two color options: a multicolored version and an all-black variant. Both styles showcase the distinctive design elements that have become hallmarks of MM6 Maison Margiela and SALOMON's joint ventures.
This latest release follows previous collaborations between the two brands, which have included transformations of trail running shoes into over-the-knee boots and mules. Each iteration has pushed the boundaries of conventional outdoor footwear design.
The MM6 Maison Margiela x SALOMON Mary Jane-inspired shoes will be available online from October 17th.
