This new piece, initially showcased during a solo exhibition in Mexico, is now available in what Maghsoudi calls "Satin White”.
The bed's design features a robust frame made of high-gloss fiberglass. Its form envelops the mattress, with rounded edges that curve around the sleeping area. Maghsoudi states that the bed's silhouette draws inspiration from contemporary fashion, particularly streetwear.
"The Hug Bed is designed to suit various scenarios, whether used alone, with a partner, or for larger gatherings”, Maghsoudi explains. He adds that the white colorway introduces "a new aspect of refinement and adaptability" to the piece.

To present the bed, Maghsoudi collaborated with photographer Tanner Reese for an editorial shoot. The images feature model Lila Flowers, with styling by Lucy Rae McFadin. This approach reflects Maghsoudi's aim to incorporate various creative fields in showcasing his work.
In a recent discussion with Hypeform, Hypebeast's design-focused platform, Maghsoudi elaborated on his design philosophy. He described his style as "somewhat hedonistic", explaining that he uses form and materials to create specific atmospheres in his furniture.
Maghsoudi also highlighted his commitment to exploring new materials and forms. "Throughout my four collections, I've worked with traditional materials like wood, aluminum, marble, steel, and ceramic, as well as less conventional options such as fiberglass, fur, and car exhaust pipes”, he stated.
The designer emphasized his goal of balancing a consistent theme of "unapologetic hedonism and self-indulgence" with material and formal innovation. This approach, he believes, allows him to offer novel designs while maintaining a recognizable style.
