Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown has partnered with Oakley in his first-ever brand endorsement deal. The agreement pairs the 2024 NBA Finals MVP with the eyewear manufacturer in a multi-year partnership that will include product development through Brown's 741 sportswear label.
The collaboration marks a strategic expansion for both parties. Brown, who launched 741 in late 2023, will work directly with Oakley's design and research teams to create new eyewear collections. He has already been spotted wearing classic Oakley styles during his pre-game walks, including the Over The Top and Polaris models from the early 2000s.
"I waited to choose my first brand partnership carefully", Brown said. "I wanted to work with a company that shared my perspective on style, self-expression, and bringing people together".
The partnership adds Brown to Oakley's roster of athletes, which includes NFL quarterback Patrick Mahomes, NBA forward Paolo Banchero, and WNBA guard Diamond DeShields. The eyewear company has recently expanded its presence through collaborations with streetwear retailer Bodega, fashion label Palace, and digital media platform Podpah Podcast.
The first collection from the Brown-Oakley partnership is expected to launch later this year, though specific details and release dates have not been announced.
