50 years after the debut of Porsche's legendary 911 Turbo, the German automaker is paying homage to the model's origins with a rare, one-of-a-kind creation. A 1974 Turbo "Remastered" edition has surfaced, set to cross the auction block later this month.

This special vehicle was commissioned through Porsche's Sonderwunsch (Special Wishes) program, a bespoke service allowing customers to commission unique, personalized models. Drawing inspiration from the original 1974 Turbo prototype gifted to Ferdinand Porsche's daughter, Louise Piëch, the Remastered edition replicates the iconic coupe's design cues in a modern interpretation.

Finished in a gleaming GT Silver exterior, the Remastered Turbo features custom decals that nod to the Austrian autobahn - a fitting touch given the 911's heritage. Classic Fuchs-style black five-spoke wheels complete the retro-inspired look on the outside.

Step inside, and the nods to the past continue. A two-tone Lipstick Red and black leather interior sets the tone, complemented by green-illuminated gauges and red-and-blue tartan fabric - reminiscent of Piëch's original prototype. Porsche even secured special permission to use the original "Turbo" script on the rear badge, cementing this model's direct lineage.

Under the sheet metal, however, the Remastered Turbo is pure modern performance. Its 3.7-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine punches out over 570 horsepower, rocketing the car from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds on its way to a top speed nearing 200 mph. With a mere 35 kilometers on the odometer, this pristine 911 is primed and ready for its next caretaker.

This one-of-a-kind Porsche 911 Turbo Remastered will cross the auction block via RM Sotheby's on November 20th. Estimated to fetch up to $430,000, it's a rare opportunity to own a piece of Porsche history reimagined for the modern era.
