The Primavera Sound Barcelona festival is extending its reach across the city with the announcement of its Primavera a la Ciutat program for 2025. The parallel series of events will transform Barcelona into a weeklong music celebration from June 2-8, complementing the main festival at Parc del Fòrum.
The city program features fourteen artists who will perform both at the main festival and at various venues throughout Barcelona. Beach House will bring their dream-pop sound to Razzmatazz, while The Jesus Lizard celebrates their first album release in over 25 years with additional performances. Kim Deal will showcase her solo project, and Salem will maintain their enigmatic presence with extra shows.
Los Campesinos! will present their album "All Hell" in the city program. A special BBC Radio 6 Music-sponsored event will include performances from Fcukers and Kelly Lee Owens (DJ set), plus a session by Indie Forever presenter Nathan Shepherd. Chat Pile, Frost Children, Horsegirl, Momma, Cap'n Jazz, Dehd, and Machine Girl round out the artists performing at both the main festival and city venues.
Primavera a la Ciutat also introduces exclusive performances from artists not appearing at the main festival. These include rock artist Nilüfer Yanya, Northern Irish group Kneecap (subjects of this year's notable music biopic), singer-songwriter Peter Doherty, Tuareg band Tinariwen, and Christopher Owens in his post-Girls project. Gothic pop artist Allie X, Youth Lagoon, rising act Lambrini Girls, French performer Yseult, pioneers Seefeel, a showcase from British label Young Recordings, and post-punk group La Plata complete the exclusive city program lineup.
The concerts will take place at seven Barcelona venues: Sala Apolo, La (2) d'Apolo, Razzmatazz, Paral·lel 62, LAUT, La Nau, and Enfants. These venues collaborate with Primavera Sound throughout the year as part of the Primavera Tours calendar. The city program begins Monday, June 2, with events continuing Tuesday and Wednesday before the main festival, and concludes Sunday, June 8.
Additionally, Primavera Pro will present 22 free concerts at the CCCB on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, featuring emerging local artists and international performers from Argentina, Costa Rica, Bulgaria, Norway, UK, Austria, Ireland, France, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Indonesia, South Korea, and Australia. The CCCB stage will showcase global talents including JENYS, xicu, Niamh Bury, Remei de Ca la Fresca, OSKA, and Juana Aguirre.
Primavera a la Ciutat is included with full Primavera Sound 2025 and VIP passes. Pass holders will have access to a pre-reservation process, with details to be announced soon. Attendance at venue concerts requires reservation through the AccessTicket app. Limited tickets for individual concerts will be available for purchase on Fever, while CCCB concerts will be free to attend.
