Reebok and recording artist Tobe Nwigwe have unveiled their first collaborative collection, "Reebok x Chukwu", launching multiple releases throughout 2024. The initial drop, titled "The Preseason," merges Reebok's athletic heritage with collegiate football aesthetics.
The collection's centerpiece, the Chukwu OTU, reimagines Reebok's Preseason Turf Trainer with layered materials and overlapping panels. The accompanying unisex apparel line includes coach jackets, jerseys, hoodies, graphic t-shirts, jackets, vests, and pants, offered in mint green and black colorways.
"This marks my first footwear and apparel collection with a major brand. Each element reflects my design philosophy of complex simplicity - intricate details working together in a clean presentation", says Nwigwe.
The collection launches February 21 through Reebok's website and select retailers. This release marks the first chapter of an ongoing partnership between Reebok and Nwigwe, with additional drops planned throughout the year.
The collaboration draws from college football's visual language, incorporating game-specific textures and details into contemporary streetwear. Nwigwe's design approach emphasizes the intersection of athletic functionality and modern style, blending performance elements with everyday wearability.
