After nearly five decades, Swiss watchmaker Girard-Perregaux revisits its 1976 Casquette design with a new titanium and gold edition. Limited to 820 pieces, this latest version combines Grade 5 titanium with 18K 2N yellow gold accents.

The watch retains the distinctive tubular case that made the original a collector's item in the 1970s. Its digital LED display shows hours, minutes, and seconds, along with calendar functions. The Calibre GP03980 movement adds modern features including a chronograph and second time zone capability. A hidden date function provides a personal touch for the wearer.

This marks the second contemporary interpretation of the Casquette, following the 2022 ceramic and titanium model. The new version features practical updates like rubber-lined bracelet segments and a micro-adjustable clasp for daily wear comfort.

The titanium construction maintains a lightweight presence on the wrist, while yellow gold details on the GP logo and pushers add subtle contrast. The case dimensions remain faithful to the 1976 original.

Girard-Perregaux is offering early purchase access to existing customers from October 31 to November 14, before wider release through the brand's website and authorized dealers. The watch is priced at $4,960.
