First images of the "Varsity Purple" colorway reveal new details of the upcoming four-shoe collaboration, expected to launch on March 26.

The long-awaited Supreme x Nike Air Max 1 '87 collection appears ready for release, with sources indicating a March 26 launch to coincide with Air Max Day. Recent developments have provided clearer details about what consumers can expect from this partnership.

Supreme recently announced a Nike collaboration featuring sportswear apparel with Air Max design elements, but notably absent were the four anticipated Air Max 1 '87 colorways. This omission supports industry speculation that the footwear collection will arrive separately on Air Max Day.

The "Varsity Purple" version recently surfaced, showing previously unseen features including Supreme's "World Famous" script in white on the heel counter and what appears to be a debossed "SUPREME" wordmark on the midsole heel. The design extends to "World Famous" text on the white aglets.

Four colorways are planned for the collection:

  • White/White/White (SKU: HF8813-100)
  • Black/White/Black (SKU: HF8813-001)
  • Varsity Purple/White/Varsity Purple (SKU: HF8813-500)
  • Speed Yellow/White/Speed Yellow (SKU: HF8813-700)

The "White" version, which recently came to light, features an all-white finish with a red Supreme box logo on the tongue tag. The "Black" colorway was previously showcased in Supreme's Spring/Summer 2025 lookbook, featuring black construction with silver dubrae and white lateral Swooshes.

Each pair will retail at $170 USD and will be available exclusively through Supreme channels. While official confirmation from both brands regarding the exact release details is still pending, trusted leaker DropsByJay has indicated the Air Max Day timing.

The Air Max 1 '87 collaboration follows months of anticipation, having been rumored since last year alongside Supreme's separate five-part Nike SB Dunk Low project, which remains unreleased.

This launch comes as part of Supreme's Spring/Summer 2025 season, which also includes collaborations with artists Damien Hirst and Aphex Twin among other offerings.
