Art is fluid, constantly evolving, and so is Tony Scorpioni. A multidisciplinary artist with a passion for music, performance, and visual storytelling, Tony refuses to be confined by a single form of expression. His work is an ongoing exploration that blends music, fashion, painting and movement into an ever-shifting artistic identity. His style is a reflection of an inner world shaped by emotion, intuition, and an unrelenting desire to push creative boundaries.

In this interview, Tony takes us through his music, the influences that shape his vision and his thoughts on artistic freedom - both in life and love.

Your looks and aesthetics have a distinct identity—how did you develop your style, and what influences shaped it?

My style is a constantly evolving journey—a fusion of different techniques and languages. I never limit myself to a single form of expression; instead, I push the boundaries by blending all my artistic forms, from painting and music to fashion and performance. My aesthetic is rooted in experimentation, rejecting stagnation and seeking new forms of expression. It’s never fixed but always in motion. I feel like my soul is anchored to a magnetic point on Earth—a place I don’t fully understand and can’t quite pinpoint. But it’s precisely this mystery, this "not knowing," that fuels my essence and gives depth to everything I create. Uncertainty makes everything so powerful and fascinating.

As a musician, you are able to mix different influences and vibes. Which artists or genres inspire your sound?

My musical inspiration comes from a mix of different genres, with a strong influence from Italian songwriting, which has always had a deep connection to emotions and storytelling. However, my passion for electronic music has added another dimension to my sound, allowing me to explore a wide range of sonic landscapes. Over the years, I’ve experimented with many different genres, letting my creative flow evolve based on the moment, my emotions, and the context. For me, music is a form of expression that should remain free, without rigid boundaries. I like to listen to what’s inside me and translate it into sound without worrying about fitting into a specific genre.

What’s your creative process when producing art and/or music? Where do you start and how do you get to the final result?

My creative process always begins with a deep need to give voice to my soul. It starts with a vision - an image or a scenario I construct in my mind, which could be abstract or tied to an intense emotion I’m feeling at that moment. This initial vision becomes the key for everything that follows, whether I’m working on music or visual art. Once I have a clear picture in my head, I start developing it. In music, for example, I try to translate that feeling into sounds, harmonies, or rhythms that reflect my emotional state. In visual art, that vision takes shape through colors and lines that attempt to capture its essence.

I love collaborating with friends and fellow artists, sharing ideas, and seeing how they evolve. These exchanges with others open up unexpected directions and new solutions, enriching the final outcome. In the end, I build a structure that allows me to fully develop the piece while staying true to the initial vision - always leaving space for improvisation and change throughout the process.

What does freedom mean to you?

For me, freedom is the ability to express myself authentically, without restrictions. It’s a deep connection with everything around me - nature, my environment, and the objects I encounter. Every gesture I make, whether in music or photography, is part of a search for truth, a moment where I can be completely myself. Returning to natural landscapes or evocative spaces allows me to truly experience the moment and let go - this is when inspiration flows effortlessly. Freedom, to me, means being genuine and expressing ourselves without limitations.

I also believe freedom is not just about independence; it can exist within love as well. Loving doesn’t mean being trapped - it’s about freely choosing to share yourself and connect with another person in a deep and sincere way. In this sense, freedom also means being vulnerable, giving and receiving without fear. Through love, we can feel truly free to be ourselves, without masks, in a relationship that enriches rather than restricts us.

As a multidisciplinary artist, what role do art and creativity play in your life?

Art and creativity are the heartbeat of my existence. They’re not just forms of expression - they are the very essence of who I am. I live for art; it’s what gives meaning to my life. My soul, my heart, my blood, my eyes - everything in me is art. Every movement, every thought, every emotion I experience takes shape through it. Art is the language through which I communicate with the world, the tool I use to explore and transform reality. Without it, I wouldn’t feel whole. It allows me to be truly myself.
