Japanese fashion house UNDERCOVER marks its 35th year with a new denim collaboration alongside Levi's, featuring Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea as the face of the campaign.
The nine-piece collection draws from UNDERCOVER's extensive archive, particularly focusing on designs from the 1990s and 2000s. At the center of the release is a reimagined Pinnacle Type II Trucker Jacket, which incorporates removable zip elements inspired by UNDERCOVER's Fall/Winter 1998 collection.
The dark denim pieces showcase graphics from 2003, including the "Light Darkness" design featured across jackets and t-shirts. This collection follows UNDERCOVER's recent announcement of their return to Paris Fashion Week's womenswear schedule in March.
Flea, selected for his alignment with both brands' creative vision, models the pieces throughout the lookbook. The collection represents a second partnership between the two brands, continuing their exploration of denim craftsmanship.
The Levi's x UNDERCOVER collection will be available from January 18 through Levi's online platforms, including their website and app, as well as UNDERCOVER's online store.
Founded in 1988 by designer Jun Takahashi, UNDERCOVER has established itself as a influential force in Japanese fashion, known for merging streetwear with high-end design elements. This collaboration adds to the label's anniversary celebrations, which will continue throughout the year.
