Willy Chavarria has unveiled his "New York Collection", featuring a selection of graphic apparel items adorned with New York-dedicated wordmarks.
The collection showcases a design where "Willy Chavarria" appears in Old English typeface, arched above the brand's signature rose logo, with "New York" positioned at the bottom. This graphic element continues the aesthetic established in the designer's Paris debut in February, which was followed by a similar collection of Paris-branded items in black and red. For this New York series, Chavarria has selected "Navy" and an off-white "Tofu" colorway, reminiscent of classic Yankees colors.
Priced between $95 and $250 USD, the collection includes a printed hoodie, two t-shirt styles, and two embroidered snap-back caps.
Chavarria, who was named CFDA's American Menswear Designer of the Year in 2024, typically draws inspiration from vintage athletic and worker uniforms for his casual pieces, while incorporating ecclesiastical influences into his more conceptual designs. The designer has been particularly active in 2025, releasing several graphic-focused collections, including a Paris capsule with adidas, a Superbowl Half-Time Show collaboration with Kendrick Lamar, and a partnership with Human Rights Watch.
The designer's printed essentials maintain a minimalist approach, featuring clean statements without excessive decorative elements.
The Willy Chavarria New York Collection is now available for purchase through the brand's official website.
