McDonald's latest Happy Meal promotion features Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) collectibles across U.S. restaurants.
Each meal comes with a four-card booster pack from a new set of 15 cards, including fan favorites like Charizard and Pikachu alongside newer additions such as Miraidon and Koraidon. The collection spans different Pokémon generations, mixing classic characters with recent additions from the games.
The promotion extends beyond just cards. Every meal includes a poster and sticker sheet, letting collectors customize their Pokémon artwork. Mobile app users receive additional digital rewards for Pokémon TCG Pocket - 24 pack hourglasses and 12 wonder hourglasses.
The Happy Meal boxes themselves feature four distinct designs showcasing different Pokémon combinations. One box displays Charizard, Pikachu, and Dragonite together, while others spotlight individual creatures like Rayquaza and Roaring Moon.
This collaboration marks the latest chapter in a long-running partnership between the two brands, with previous promotions dating back to the late 1990s. The promotion is now active at McDonald's locations across the United States.
Previous Pokémon card promotions at McDonald's have drawn collectors and families alike, often leading to high demand at participating restaurants. The 2021 promotion, which celebrated Pokémon's 25th anniversary, saw some locations implementing purchase limits due to overwhelming response from collectors.
