MM6 Maison Margiela/Dr. Martens
First previewed at Milan Fashion Week in February during MM6 Maison Margiela's Fall/Winter 2024 runway show, the collaboration between the Parisian fashion house's experimental line and the British bootmaker has now reached stores.
The collection centers on an inventive fusion of Dr. Martens' signature styles. The design teams merged the iconic 1460 boot with the classic 1461 shoe to create a distinctive two-in-one silhouette. This hybrid model comes in two versions: a contrast red and black colorway, and an all-black variant with an elevated profile.
The designers applied this combination concept to additional styles, blending a traditional loafer with a three-eyelet Oxford shoe. The result maintains Dr. Martens' characteristic yellow stitching and chunky soles while incorporating MM6's deconstructive design approach.
Each piece in the collection features both brands' logos: Dr. Martens' signature heel loop and MM6's numerical branding. The shoes are crafted using Dr. Martens' standard materials, including the company's proprietary smooth leather and Goodyear-welted soles.
The collection is now available at selected retailers worldwide, MM6 Maison Margiela boutiques, and Dr. Martens stores.
