Moncler Genius is returning to Shanghai on October 19, following last year's showcase in London. The event, titled "The City of Genius" will close Shanghai Fashion Week with an expansive presentation spanning over 30,000 square meters.
The luxury brand has assembled a diverse roster of collaborators, including musician A$AP Rocky, fashion editor Edward Enninful, streetwear pioneer NIGO, and artist Willow Smith. NIGO's contribution will feature a three-way collaboration with Mercedes-Benz.
Other notable participants include fragment design's Hiroshi Fujiwara, multidisciplinary Chinese artist Lulu Li, actor Donald Glover, and fashion label Palm Angels. Rick Owens and Jil Sander will present separate capsule collections alongside the main project.
The presentation revolves around the question "How do you live Genius?" - exploring the concept that creative talent, while innate at birth, requires nurturing throughout life. The event space will be divided into distinct "districts," each showcasing collections that merge fashion, art, design, and entertainment.
This immersive experience will be available through live streams on Chinese social media platforms WeChat, Douyin, RED, and Weibo.
The event marks Moncler's continued expansion of its collaborative platform, which aims to push creative boundaries by bringing together voices from various creative disciplines.
