New Balance is expanding its 1906L lineup with a new black and metallic silver colorway. The sneaker-loafer hybrid, which first appeared in the Junya Watanabe MAN collaboration last January, has evolved into a staple of New Balance's regular collection since its commercial debut in late 2024.
The new design features a black mesh base complemented by metallic silver accents. Silver synthetic overlays wrap around the shoe, including the distinctive 1906 heel cage. The ABZORB cushioning system in the sole combines black and gray elements, maintaining the model's signature comfort features.

The 1906L emerged from what was initially assumed to be a limited collaboration piece. After positive reception to the Watanabe design, New Balance adapted the concept for their mainline collection, releasing the first standard versions in autumn 2024.
While New Balance hasn't confirmed the exact launch date, the Black/Silver 1906L is expected to arrive at New Balance stores and select retailers in early 2025. This release continues the model's expansion, with additional colorways planned for the coming season.
