Designer Salehe Bembury and New Balance unveil their latest collaboration, the 530 "Bamboo", continuing their partnership that has produced several sought-after releases since 2020.

The announcement came through an Instagram video titled "PROSPERITY BE THE PRIZE", showcasing Bembury's reimagining of the classic 530 silhouette. The designer's signature fingerprint-textured "N" logo appears on both sides of the sneaker, a detail that has become synonymous with his New Balance collaborations.

The 530 "Bamboo" features a yellow-based upper combining mesh, leather, and suede materials, accented with blue and silver elements. Its ABZORB midsole comes in salmon pink with green accents, creating a distinct color contrast that sets it apart from traditional dad shoe aesthetics.

Technical specifications include a mesh base layer for breathability, reinforced leather panels for durability, and New Balance's ABZORB cushioning technology in the midsole for enhanced comfort during wear.

The Salehe Bembury x New Balance 530 "Bamboo" will release on October 29 at 5:00 PM through the Be A Spunge website. Previous collaborations between Bembury and New Balance have included iterations of the 2002R and 574 models, with the designer known for incorporating nature-inspired elements and unconventional color combinations into his work.

Bembury's track record includes design positions at Yeezy and Versace, where he served as head of sneaker design before focusing on independent collaborations with various footwear brands.
