Nike and streetwear brand Corteiz have launched a new collaborative commercial, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Gabriel Moses. The project reimagines the classic Nike Freestyle commercial format, blending contemporary talent from football, music, and fashion.
The campaign features a diverse lineup of athletes and cultural figures, including Manchester United's Kobbie Mainoo, Manchester City players Phil Foden and Chloe Kelly, and Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga. Adding a nostalgic touch, former Dutch footballer Edgar Davids also makes an appearance.
Moses's interpretation pays homage to the original Nike Freestyle aesthetic while introducing a fresh generation of talent. The commercial is set to the iconic 2005 grime track "Ghetto Kyote" by Treble Clef, creating a sonic backdrop that bridges generations.
Alongside the video, the collaboration introduces new merchandise. Corteiz founder Clint419 previewed upcoming Nike Huarache colorways in "Flat Pewter" through his Instagram Close Friends story, generating anticipation among fans.
Additional talents featured in the short film include music artists Chy Cartier, Slawn, and Tempa T, further emphasizing the cross-disciplinary nature of the project.
The campaign represents a strategic partnership between Nike and Corteiz, leveraging cultural influencers to connect with younger audiences and celebrate creativity across sports and entertainment.
