The result is a new shoe collection that draws from each brand's background in alternative culture.
Vans, known for their skateboarding shoes, and Slam Jam, an Italian streetwear retailer, have worked together before. FUCT, founded by Erik Brunetti in 1990, joins them for the first time. FUCT has a reputation for designs that challenge mainstream fashion norms.
The collection includes five models, with focus on redesigned versions of the Old Skool and Authentic styles. These shoes use Vans' Premium construction, which aims to improve durability and comfort.
There are a few notable details on the shoes. The insoles feature logos from all three brands. The soles have a crystallized appearance. Around the foxing, there's a print that reads "Chaos is Order." Inside, the shoes are labeled with "Steal this Shoe," referencing a counterculture book from the past.
The release is happening in two stages. On September 13th, the collection will be available on fuct.com. A week later, on September 19th, it will launch on slamjam.com.
This collaboration brings together three brands with roots in underground culture. The resulting shoes offer an alternative to more mainstream fashion choices.
The collection might appeal to various groups: skateboarders, sneaker enthusiasts, and those interested in streetwear. Starting in September, these shoes will be available for purchase, adding another option to the streetwear market.
